5 Best Android Apps (December 2011)
It’s the last month of the year that really pushed Android to the masses making it the number one mobile platform out there. As you guys know that every month I post the top 5 must have Android Apps so that you do not have to waste time searching for that perfect application. The end of November and the start of December saw even more developers jumping into the Android Market with some great Applications. Since the Christmas Holidays are just round the corner so I also saw some popular Apps launching special discounts and Themes for their Applications. I downloaded and researched over 100 new Applications and finally I have the Top 5 Android Apps for you in the month of December.
1.Any.DO To Do List
I know that fact that there are lots and lots of to-do apps out there. Recently I found this to-do application to be one of the best out there. It’s founded by Omar Perchik and the best way to define this to-do application is simplicity. The interface is all white and you can also switch to a black theme if you like. But I like the White interface and the way things appear makes your phone look elegant. I cannot express you properly but this to-do app is simple to use. Simply add any to-do note, set reminders, and organize them in folders and much more. Once your work is complete just cross the area like you would do with a chalk on a board and your to do will be marked as completed.
One of the best thing is that you can even share and collaborate to do’s with others. Drag and drop to do’s and arrange them according to your liking. Shake your Android phone to remove all completed work from the to-do interface. Any.DO also comes with a nicely laid out Home Screen Widget allowing you to see Today’s work and using the swipe to complete feature from the Home Screen itself. The App is completely free and you should definitely give it a try if you are fond of using to-do applications in your Android Smartphone. [Download Here]
2. 3D Christmas Live Wallpaper
Christmas is just round the corner and I know most of you are searching for that perfect wallpaper to turn your Android Phone into a festive look. I searched and tried many Live Wallpapers for Christmas but I found 3D Christmas Live Wallpaper by Jet Black Software to be the best. The wallpaper is very lively and contains 4-5 different scenes. You even get a nice looking Christmas Countdown. There is also a paid version of the wallpaper allowing you to customize the background and other coloring effects. But I am pretty happy with what they offered in the free one. There are some technical problems that SGS2 (Samsung Galaxy S2) users might face and you can solve this problem by simply upgrading your firmware to the latest version.

3. World of Goo
If you love playing puzzle games then you would be glad to know that World of Goo if finally out for the Android Platform. Each and every creature is designed so uniquely that you will be deeply engrossed into its beautiful world. The puzzles are quite variant and unique. The game does an excellent job with its artwork and unique look. The Physics Engine is robust and the controls seem very responsive. World Of Goo won several gaming awards this year and therefore I highly recommend this game to Puzzle Lovers on Android. You can always try the demo version of the game before deciding to purchase the full version that features additional levels and creatures.

4. Minecraft Pocket Edition
Minecraft clicked instantly with the audience ever since the game was released a year ago. It provided gamers a unique opportunity to explore and reinvent freedom. With its pixel like graphics and approach MineCraft may look simple but it is a hell lot complex providing you with tons of combination to build stuff and letting you explore new areas. The Concept of the game is simple enough. You can either choose the free to play mode or a survival mode where you need to build your home and secure your area or else monsters will attack you at night. It is so addictive that you can find your Android phones run out of battery only to stop you from exploring. The Pocket Edition of Minecraft has all the features from the PC version so that you can take your Minecraft experience with you while you are on the go. MineCraft is also powered by a robust Community. [Download Here]
5. HipMunk Flight Search
Among all the flight searches out there for the Android market the reason why I selected this App in my Top 5 Spot is because it has a Christmas feeling to it. The Squirrel logo and the interface all remind us of the holiday season. The Interface is pretty simple where you have the Home Screen for selecting the Departure and the Arrival Airports. The Search Time is very fast and you get some of the best deals in terms of pricing. I suggest that you give HipMunk a try this Holiday Season. [Download Now]
