How to set up and customize a Google+ Page
Finally after months of rumors and speculation Google Plus launches Pages, another addition to their fast growing social networking site. A first glimpse of Pages and you would think that it is just another Google+ Profile. Be it Google’s page or YouTube the new Google Plus Pages looks exactly similar like our profiles. Typically I saw three sections which includes Posts About and Photos for each page. On top you can find a checkmark for these brand pages that says “verified” followed by a Page Icon which indicates that it is actually a page rather than another profile. With all the hype from Mashable and the Graphics suggesting some awesome page layouts, this is really disappointing.
However all is not lost as Google+ Pages will feature better analytics and customization than its fierce competitor Facebook. Check Google+ Official Page Here and tell me what you think Sooner or Later Google+ is going to include Pages as a key matrix in determining Social Media Ranking of your online blog or website. So I highly recommend that you start creating your Google+ Page as soon as possible. Follow the steps below and I will show you how you can create a Google+ Page.
Step 1.
First login to your Google Plus Account and find the area where it says “Create a Google+ Page”. Click on that.
Step 2
Now you will see a page like the image below. Here select the type of page you want. And then click on any one of them. If you have a blog or a website like mine then i recommend that you choose “PRODUCT or BRAND” in the Page Type Selection category.
Step 3
Fill out all your information and click on Create Page .
Step 4
Next you can edit your page just like you edit your profile and add your logo, information, Links etc. Now share it in your circle so that others get to know that you just created your Google+ Page.
Important Note about Switching Pages and Profile.
One thing you will notice that while you use your page you are switched to the page user mode just like we experience it in Facebook. if you ever want to revert back to your own profile or page profile hit the small arrow that is present right beside the Profile Image. See the image below to understand better.
