With the launch of the new iPhone and the latest iOS 5 Android users were getting a little skeptical. They were waiting for the release of the next major update, the Android 2.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. Much was talked about this new Android version which had plans to provide some serious competition to the Apple iOS’s latest offering. Everything was going according to plan and people were expecting the launch of the first Phone to run Ice Cream Sandwich officially. The Google Nexus Prime was a joint collaboration of Samsung and Google which was expected to debut this month in a Grand Conference.
However both the companies released joined statements, stating that the event has to be delayed. The statement goes as :
Samsung and Google decide to postpone the new product announcement at CTIA Fall. We agree that it is just not the right time to announce a new product. New date and venue will be shortly announced.
However, do not be disappointed as someone already leaked a 2 minute video of the new Google Nexus Prime Smartphone that is running Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The video is silent but initial impressions shows how the graphics and animations of the new Android version is improved dramatically. Enjoy the video below.
