Top 5 Free Android Apps (February 2012)

February is the month when things are just stagnant with the Android Apps Market.  I don’t see any new revolutionary apps that are changing the perception of an entire genre or anything. We had some good Free Apps,  games and productivity to be precise but nothing substantially big.  Anyways I had to make the list of the top 5 free Android Apps for the month of February and I thought I would also include some apps that were released in the last week of January 2012 so that the list becomes more fruitful.

Heaven and Hell

This is a really interesting game about controlling characters by changing their shapes. There is this one faction called heaven that you get to play with and they appear white while the faction hell is represented by small red demons. The objective is to change the shape of your character to collect as many starts and throw off the devils into the lava below. The game is structured exactly like Angry Birds or Cut the Rope where you have different levels under separate groups.  While the initial few levels are very easy but as you progress levels keep getting tough and challenging. The one thing that makes the game so addictive is the music. Give this game a try and your time will be well spent cause the app is free.    [Download Now]

Onavo

Most of us are using 3G Services with our smartphones these days. While most of us are bound to a fixed bandwidth monthly plan we often use 3G data monitoring software to keep a check on our usage. I have always used 3G Watchdog simply because it was simple and effective and provided me with everything that I need to know. However in February I encountered a new Data Usage Monitor App called Onavo. The reason I like Onavo so much better than 3G Watchdog is because of the fact that it provides you with a better looking easy to understand interface, app specific data usage, intelligent alerts and much more. The best part of Onavo is unlike 3G Watchdog Pro it is completely free to use.    [Download Here]

AutoCad WS

This is probably one of the most anticipated App for the year 2012. There were rumors that Autodesk was developing a mobile version of AutoCad and looks like the new AutoCad WS for android is finally here. You can do almost all the stuff that you generally use in your desktop AutoCAD software. Make changes to your DWG files; share the files with others instantly. Grab a half-finished work from your desktop and continue editing it in your AutoCad App.  The App is completely free and is available for download in the Android Market.    [Download Now]

Dream Zoo

This is another killer addictive game from none other than Zynga.  Here you can start your virtual zoo and raise animals through their whole life cycle. You need to manage food for wild animals, zookeepers etc.  All of it is done in the same traditional Zynga way where you complete a work to gain coins which are then used for upgrades and other purchases. This is a fun and relaxing game and I think you should definitely give this a try.   [Download Now]

Stardom

This is a free game that allows you to experience the life of a superstar. Basically you start from scratch by customizing your star and then move ahead to gain more exposure, do new events, and participate in movies and lots more. The way the game presents itself is simply amazing. While the basic gameplay is simple to understand and like most social games but I find the concept new and appealing.  One of the best features in Stardom is that you can date other stars and you can even see your ranking in the top 100 star list. The game is absolutely free to download so give it a try if you adore the Page3 lifestyle.
